About Us
History:
Risen Savior Ev. Lutheran Church began in the fall of 1989 when interested Lutherans started planning a new congregation. Their first worship service was on September 9, 1990. Risen Savior is a congregation of the Northern Illinois District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. This is one of the largest Lutheran bodies with churches throughout North America and partner missions and churches throughout the world.
Mission Statement:
Risen Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church: people created by God the Father, claimed
by Jesus Christ the Son of God, and commissioned by the Holy Spirit of God through
Word and Sacraments. We glorify the Name of Jesus by reaching out with the Gospel
and acts of Christian love to the people of Manteno, Peotone, the surrounding communities,
and the whole world..
