Risen Savior is a congregation of the Northern Illinois District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. This is one of the largest Lutheran bodies with churches throughout North America and partner missions and churches throughout the world.

We are a small, active and friendly congregation looking to grow and gain new members through outreach, Bible study, meaningful worship services and and active Sunday School.

Quilts for Needy People Overseas 2011

No, you're not seeing double! Our quilting group "The Busy Sew & Sews" have made over 430+ quilts that were sent to needy people overseas through Lutheran World Relief in 2011. There were so many quilts this year that all of them did not fit on the pews for display. Some of the recipients of these quilts will use them for a bed or a cover. It may be the only thing they have. Also the quilting group made school bags and members of our congregation stuffed them with school supplies. They were also sent along with the quilts. Below you will see them as well as more quilts.

We pray that God will bless each and every person that receives one of these from our church!
